Guard shot at Family Research Council headquarters
A security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., was shot on Wednesday morning. The guard was shot in the arm and remained conscience. He is expected to fully recover.
The FRC is a registered hate group with the Southern Poverty Law Center and regularly opposes equality measures around the nation. FRC President Tony Perkins confirmed the event happened and said, “The police are investigating this incident. Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family.”
Police have one suspect in custody and have not determined a motive.
